The Lang Lang International Music Foundation has revealed plans to bring its flagship Keys of Inspiration (KOI) programme to the UK and provide piano classes to select primary state schools in London.

Global development director Oli Rose will spearhead the opening of the London office after working as the foundation's creative director throughout 2021.

The group aims to benefit areas across the world with limited or no music resources and provide students with creative outlets, building their self-confidence through creativity.

Rose said: ‘On a daily basis, we see first hand how music education and experiences with music can impact a child’s life for the better. Not only with social development and confidence-building but with emotional connection, even in our current and collective hard times.'

He continues: ‘The foundation’s global development aim is to continue building opportunities to provide this positive impact to the children that need it most, all over the world.’

The new base was announced at a London Gala dinner in December 2021 by Lang Lang and his partner Gina Alice.
