RockAcad partners with Trinity College London to offer virtual music qualifications

Following the launch of TCL’s first permanent digital exam system in November last year, this partnership with RockAcad means that musicians will be able to record their performance on a smartphone or tablet, submit their video through RockAcad’s technology, and be assessed by Trinity’s expert examiners. 

Toby Davies, the national advisor for Rock & Pop at Trinity College London, said: ‘RockAcad’s online-only teaching model is a perfect fit for Trinity and we are confident in the success of the partnership.’

‘RockAcad’s teaching approach will work brilliantly with the content of our syllabuses that help to develop real-world musical skills. The digital exam experience will also provide candidates with a seamless extension of their online lessons.’

David Green, founder of RockAcad and award-winning drummer, added: ‘We are also very excited about Trinity’s recent move to digital with their Rock & Pop syllabus. It ties in perfectly with what RockAcad is doing as we move with the times and look ahead to the future of music education.’

RockAcad advertises that their tutors have performed and recorded with a plethora of international artists, including The Rolling Stones’ Ronnie Wood, Rod Stewart, Sam Fender, Boy George, James Arthur and Selena Gomez. The latest addition to their team of educators is Pete Friesen, a renowned guitarist best known for playing with Alice Cooper, Iron Maiden’s Bruce Dickinson and the hard rock band The Almighty.
