Northern Ireland International Organ Competition 2023 announces shortlist

The competitor shortlist for the international competition in Armagh, 21–23 August 2023, has been announced.

Fourteen young organists from across the world will participate in the senior category of the Northern Ireland International Organ Competition (NIIOC). The players (drawn from the UK, mainland Europe, Australia or China) are Isaac Adni, Francesco Cardelli, François Cloete, Theresa Heidler, Philipp Hennig, George Herbert, Jonathan Lee, Benjamin Markovic, Raimondo Mazzon, Jeremy Ng, Miriam Reveley, Lorenzo Rupil, Jason Tang and Tingshuo Yang.

Seven performers – Barbara Dooley, Daire Downey, Michael Doyle, Gergő Kiss, Elisabeth Merschdorf, Gavin Phelps and Georg Schäfer – will compete in the intermediate category (Grades 6–8 standard) and two – Ciaran Ward, Darragh Magee – in the junior category (Grades 4–5).
