Now in its 15th year, the Sound and Music Summer School, based at The Purcell School in Hertfordshire, gives musicians aged 14-18 a chance to explore their musical creativity.
A residential course, the Summer School lasts six days, at the end of which is a performance and recording of pieces composed during the week. Activities are led by professional composers as part of group or 1:1 tuition, with access to resources at the specialist Purcell School, including recording studios, computers and industry standard equipment.
Staff support all young music-makers, regardless of whether they create in DAW, with a band, use notation or improvise.
