Truro School, Cornwall, has announced a multi-million-pound music centre and refurbished (multi-use) school hall to provide a dedicated orchestra rehearsal space, classrooms for KS3 and A Level, and bespoke practice rooms, all built to stringent sustainability standards.
The Project extends the school’s existing contribution and support for local musical partnerships, including with Truro Cathedral, schools, and the Cornwall Music Service Trust, which has its offices at the school and co-planned the project.
Truro School headteacher Andy Johnson said: ‘I am proud to be heading a school that embraces the transformative power of music education, investing with prudence and ambition in the cultural enrichment of the School and Cornwall’s wider community.’
