In this resource, we look at guitar chords from the point of view of teaching them to students, starting from beginners and working upwards to more accomplished guitarists. It will focus primarily on how chords work in popular music relating to the acoustic or electric guitar. For classical guitar students, how they read and play music and the criteria in classical grades mean that chord knowledge can be overlooked. Knowing all the chord shapes makes reading multiple notes much easier.
