Musicians and educators recognised in Queen’s Birthday Honours 2021

The work of musicians and music educators has been recognised in the Queen’s Birthday Honours List 2021, announced on 11 June and naming 1,129 recipients of an award. Included for their services to music and music education at OBE, MBE, and BEM level are:

Almost 23 per cent of honours recipients in 2021 are recommended for COVID-19 service, and this year’s list is one of the most ethnically diverse to date, with 15 per cent of recipients coming from minority ethnic backgrounds. The full list is available online.
