New MDE Award announced: Instrumental or Vocal Teacher of the Year

The Music & Drama Education Awards (MDEA) has announced the addition of a new category for 2023: Instrumental or Vocal Teacher of the Year.

For this award, the judges will be looking for evidence that this teacher has made or continues to make a real and significant difference to the lives of their students through their teaching, whether in a school or non-school setting.

You can nominate a private or peripatetic instrumental or vocal teacher for the award, which is sponsored by RATstands. 

Nominations are now open for the Awards, which celebrate the achievements of teachers, school departments, individuals, resources, organisations and charities. Read about the other award categories here. 

The ceremony will take place on 23 February 2023.
