International chamber music festival Music at Paxton has scheduled a performance of Traditional Tunes for Tiny People, featuring Live Music Now Scotland artists Ruaridh Geddes (fiddle) and Neil Sutcliffe (accordion).

The performance is designed for young children aged 3 to 7, and will introduce them to traditional Scottish songs.

Traditional Tunes for Tiny People will take place on 36 July at Paxton House on the Eastern Scottish border.

The festival will feature performances of folk and contemporary music, poetry, roundtable discussions and masterclasses.

Angus Smith, artistic director, said: ‘We have wonderful performers coming to the festival this year, many of whom are old friends, but with others who are visiting for the first time.

‘More than ever, we are committed to giving a platform to brilliant young musicians in the early stages of their professional careers, and to providing lots of family friendly events, so that all generations have a chance to enjoy a great range of fabulous music together under one roof.’
