In a world where we are faced with the dilemma of choice from multiple media sources, whether apps, websites, downloads and DVDs (remember them?), it's refreshing to know that the publication of new and interesting drum books appears to be more popular than ever. Put simply, there is still nothing that beats a good old book to help the teacher and student, whether print or eBook.

I am fortunate to be able to choose from a massive library of books, which have accumulated over my years of teaching. There are, though, many books that end up on the music stand more often than others, and that is the basis for this survey.
