 Pro Tools Intro from Avid
Pro Tools Intro from Avid

Price: Free

Avid has released Pro Tools Intro – a free version of its industry-standard DAW – replacing the previous free software, Pro Tools First. The DAW can be used for recording, mixing, editing and in film or television audio post-production. Intro allows you to work with up to eight audio tracks, eight instrument tracks, and eight midi tracks. It also includes 1,200 pre-set instrument sounds and hundreds of quality audio loops, plus 34 useful plugins, including EQ, compressors, reverb, delay, and guitar amp emulators. PACE iLok technology is used to license Pro Tools software. If you're new to Pro Tools, you will receive a free iLok account and licence as part of the Intro sign up process. This is a great way to give students the opportunity to gain experience in using this industry-standard software.
