Finding ensemble music for learners where the pianist doesn't have to be at least a solid Grade 7 or 8 level can be tricky. It's easier to find parts of a balanced standard for a string, wind or brass ensemble, particularly at intermediate levels. There may be a piano part included, but it's more likely than not going to be a supporting part that can fill in any gaps, rather than one written with a learner in mind.
This series published by Alfred, whose other titles are Classical Vienna and Romantic Vienna, offers a solution by bringing together short, popular pieces and arranging them for pianists, violinists and cellists of a similar standard to play together as equal partners.
