Applications open for 2024 Amplify London funding

Amplify London is looking to support London-based organisations helping young people in music performance, production and technology who face barriers in their music-making and getting into the industry. This is the fourth part of the funding programme after its launch in February 2020.

In partnership with the London Music Fund and YouTube Music, the programme is offering five grants of up to £6,000 for projects taking place throughout January-December 2024.

The aim is to help each organisation develop their work and forge links with the music education sector and music industry, working collaboratively with London music education charity Sound Connections. The focus is on projects supporting young people aged 14-21, but can include participants up to the age of 25.

To be eligible, organisations must be UK-based with a signed governing document and have been providing activity for one year, with a set of accounts, safeguarding policies and an annual turnover of £500,000 or less. Music hubs, schools and Arts Council-funded National Portfolio Organisations are not eligible.

The London Music Fund, supported by the Mayor of London, has awarded over £4m to music education in London since 2011. Over the last three years, 15 organisations have been supported by Amplify London, including the Abram Wilson Foundation, Drum The Bass and We Are No Different.

Interest for funding must be expressed by 13 November and the final deadline for applications is 5pm on 17 November 2023. For more information and the full requirements for application, visit the London Music Fund website.
