Music for Youth

Applications are open for the Frequencies New Music Residency for young people aged 16-25.

Pairing composers and producers with young musicians to help them upscale their music, surmounting in a performance at the Royal Albert Hall in November 2023, the New Music Residency provides each participant a grant of £1000.

Those involved will be given access to Frequencies’ network of choirs, orchestras, bands, string and brass ensembles.

The Creative Careers programme is also accepting applications, provisioning young people with paid work experience, training and mentoring.

The placements include event production, stage crew, young presenters, social media assistants, photographers, marketing copywriters, BSL interpreters and more. Participants will be paid at the national living or minimum wage.

Under the umbrella of charity Music for Youth, Frequencies is an agency that supports young creatives who want a future in the music industry, spanning performers, producers, backstage staff and more.

The deadline to apply for these two programmes is Thursday 4th May 2023, 12 noon.
